Made by one stitcher, StitchKeep keeps a stitcher's floss stash, projects and patterns in one place, builds the shopping list from what each project still needs, and marks stitches on the stitcher's own PDF charts, reading the grid, symbols and legend automatically.

What it does

• PDF chart marker. Opens a stitcher's own PDF chart, detects the grid, reads each cell's symbol and matches the legend to floss codes, then lets them highlight a symbol, park threads, jump to the next unmarked stitch and see what's left of each color. Multi-page charts are joined by matching the rows repeated at page breaks. OXS chart files open too.
• Floss stash. A built-in catalog of 696 DMC® codes plus Anchor, COSMO, Madeira and Weeks Dye Works code lists, full and partial skeins, and label scanning with the camera.
• Shopping list. Built from planned projects, WIPs and low-stock floss, with the reason each color is on it.
• Projects. Every WIP from wishlist to finish, with progress photos, target dates, a Lock Screen stitching timer and a Year in Stitches calendar.
• Free patterns. A small library of free and public-domain patterns that start a project with the floss list filled in.
• Hand embroidery. A stitch dictionary and help transferring a design onto fabric.

For designers

The free StitchKeep-ready program gives designers a public chart spec, a compatibility check and a badge, plus a featured spot in the app that links to the designer's own site. No fees or revenue share.
